2020 got you down? Politics, COVID, fires, hurricanes, racial injustice, SCOTUS, and an electorate so polarized that all hope seems lost? Is the world coming unglued?
Consider the following —
10/6/2020: Took in a sweet stray dog — lost, injured, and starving — found her on the road, a forlorn black waif. She had been lost for at least two weeks, given the timestamp from the wildlife cam out back. Ticks and fleas, no microchip, notable limp — inhaled every bit of food we gave her.
10/7/2020: Placed her in a new home. Despite her limp she happily hopped into her new humans’ car. This by means of an introduction from a friend whose political stance is very different from my own. He’s a good person, and why the hell would I want to live a life where everyone agrees with me anyway?
Screw you, 2020! Down for the count.
