No fewer than 8 plumbing problems —
- 3 leaky sinks
- 1 kaput toilet
- 1 disagreeable toilet handle
- Sink stopper
- Flooding kitchen sprayer
- Destroyed shower head
Plus whatever else breaks before the plumber arrives. Too much for one amateur — professional on the way — yet there is the preparation and cleaning and all else that one feels compelled to accomplish before the plumber arrives.
Also —
- Drywall repair in the master bath. Fixture dislodgings plus bad stuff around the shower. More caulking needed. Taking longer than expected, which is so expected I wonder why I mention it
- Repaint master bath. And wow, that’s a lot of taping
- HVAC repair. The custom repairs I did a year ago have held up pretty well (Screw you, Error Code 44!), but it’s time for the experts
- Poison Ivy battle. That one vine is too big for clippers. Awful. Just awful
- Fix rock wall from that incident with the UPS truck
- Get out of that hole in Minecraft
Just to say that this week’s post is about the necessity of taking care of business…
