Hello.
How are you today? I’m okay, thank you for asking. Last night was a little nervewracking — going into the 8th inning up 5 to 2 was a heavy dose of deja vu, seeing as it was the same score in game 3 when the Dodgers blew things open in the bottom of the 8th to pull ahead.
Nothing against the Dodgers of course. They’re a fine team, wish ‘em the best. But we’re rooting for the Braves this time — Connor is a Braves fan, and his enthusiasm has ensnared all of us — so much that I’m desirous of a pearl necklace. Is this sort of thing common? Or normal? These feelings are quite odd.
Bullpen game. That’s a whole other issue. I hope the Braves’ bullpen isn’t too worn out — Drew Smyly put in three solid innings, huge for a relief pitcher. Is it valid to feel anxious about this going into game 5? Perhaps Connor can set me right.
Anyway, Eddie Rosario didn’t manage to pull off a double in the 9th for the cycle. But the 3-run homer was cool. Braves 9-2.
Pearls… who would’ve thought?
